Shipping Information
SHIPPING POLICY
1. Our Weekly Roasting & Shipping Schedule To ensure you receive the freshest coffee possible, Giddy Goat roasts every order fresh on a weekly cycle:
- Order Cutoff: Sunday at 11:59 PM ET.
- Roasting: Monday through Wednesday.
- Shipping Days: All orders ship out on Wednesday or Thursday.
- Local Pickup: Choose free pickup at our South End cafe (3001 Griffith St, Charlotte) and we will email you when your order is ready, usually Wednesday or Thursday.
- Example: If you order on a Tuesday, your coffee will be roasted the following Monday–Wednesday and ship that Wednesday or Thursday.
2. Shipping Rates & Estimates Orders of $50 or more ship free. For smaller orders, live USPS rates are shown at checkout. Once your coffee leaves our roastery on Wednesday or Thursday, standard shipping typically takes 3-5 business days for delivery depending on your location.
3. Shipment Confirmation & Tracking You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email with your tracking number once your order is picked up by the carrier (typically by Thursday evening).
4. Delivery & Address Accuracy Please ensure your shipping address is correct. We cannot redirect or refund orders that are delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer. Because coffee is sensitive to heat and moisture, we recommend retrieving your package as soon as it is delivered.
Refund & Return Policy
1. Coffee Returns & Order Changes Due to the perishable nature of coffee, we do not accept returns on bagged coffee. To ensure food safety, we cannot accept food items back into our inventory once they have left our facility. Because our roasting cycle begins every Monday, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure all shipping and grind information is correct before the Sunday 11:59 PM ET cutoff. We cannot offer refunds or replacements for orders where incorrect shipping information was provided or where a cancellation was requested after Monday processing has begun.
Made a mistake? You can cancel your order from your account within 15 minutes of placing it. After that, email coffee@giddygoat.com before the Sunday 11:59 PM ET cutoff and we will cancel it for you.
2. Taste Preference Taste is subjective. We do not offer refunds or exchanges based on personal flavor preferences. If you are unhappy with your selection, please contact us at coffee@giddygoat.com—we would love to help you find a brewing method or a different roast that better suits your palate.
3. Damaged or Incorrect Items If your order arrives damaged (e.g., a ripped bag) or if we sent you the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. Please include your order number and a photo of the damaged product. We will gladly ship a replacement to you at no additional cost.
4. Non-Perishable Goods (Equipment & Merch) For non-coffee items (such as mugs), we offer a 30-day return policy. Items must be in the same condition that you received them, unused and in original packaging. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
